AGIOS SOSTIS BEACH COUPLE PORTRAIT IN MYKONOS EMANUELE & CAROL
Emanuele and Carol, are truly wonderful people, a couple in love, collaborative. Known on the plane to Mykonos, one word after another I took the opportunity to propose a photo shoot on the beautiful island. Mykonos Town – or Chora – develops around the ancient port of Hora including many churches and chapels to be admired, among the crowded streets to walk around and also three small museums to visit. It is a cosmopolitan, lively, hardworking, simple and glamorous at the same time. Mykonos offers visitors wonderful examples of Cycladic architecture where the white houses with colored doors and windows overlook on narrow streets, flooded by bougainvillea trees, great stores for shopping, especially along the Matoyanni road, and a host of charming cafes and restaurants fashionable. The Greek island has a well-earned reputation for sun, beach and feast. The island is beautiful and really worth a visit, even if some areas, especially the beaches to the south of the island, are very crowded.
So with Emanuele and Carol, i visited the north of the island beaches that are relatively quiet, since the island is not very big, you can reach the city in less than 40 minutes by car. After doing a few laps we decided to stop at Agios Sostis Beach and Panormos Beach. The long and narrow beach sandy white of Panormos, is located in the large bay in the north of Mykonos. It is not equipped and retains its wild side also thanks to the small dunes. The rocks around the entrance to the beach create the pools little deep, of sea water, ideal for relaxation. Immediately after Panormos there is Agios Sostis Beach, an even more wild and very beautiful bay with clear water and few people. At the top of the beach there is a lovely chapel, which gives its name to the latter, whitewashed, in an architectural style that is the style of the Cyclades.
The peculiarity of Agios Sostis Beach, in addition to the magnificent beach, is a small tavern, Kiki’s Tavern. Here you can taste typical dishes of Greek cuisine and is located just above the beach. A place loved by locals and the food lovers. Kiki’s Tavern is a small restaurant that does not have a sign, does not have a phone to take reservations, and has no electricity. Yup! No electricity! It opens at 12:30 and closes when it gets dark. A friendly place in a spectacular setting. A few tables but it is precisely this the beauty, seems to be guests of friends, in a family context. Wonderful day with friends and smiles. It was a pleasure for me to share even a few hours these beautiful landscapes.
